I had to run inside a building real quick, it was in and out, and had parked in a private lot. Colorado Roadside Posse waited until I had my back turned before hitching up my vehicle. Since it was a quick errand, once I exited the building, I saw that the was about to pull out of the parking spot with my vehicle..

Thankfully, I was able to stop him before he left the parking spot! But, instead of rolling down his window to speak to me, he began threatening to run me over with his truck! Once he realized that I would not move until he spoke to me, I ask him to drop the van.

He said for $160 he'd drop the vehicle which seemed pretty steep since he hadn't left the parking spot yet. I agreed, handed him my credit card, and he began filling out the ticket. While he was doing so, I began taking pictures of our situation to which he responded by changing his mind about dropping the vehicle and decided to tow it to the yard which I'd have "to pay at least $300 to get it back". He also was threatening to call my supervisor (owner of the vehicle).

I was about to call the police, but then he tried to pull out of the parking lot with my vehicle still in tow so I pleaded with him and he agreed to give me the $160 fee, drop the car, and not call my supervisor IF I agreed not to tell anyone.

I later found out that it is against Colorado State Law to charge more than $70 for a drop fee.

I am SO upset and intend on pressing charges against this tow company and warn everyone to stay clear. They are sly, aggressive, and money hungry and I hope no one ever has to go through that situation again.
If I could give them zero stars, I would.

CROOKS ILLEGALLY TOWING VEHICLE DAMAGING THEM THEY HAVE NO CLUE IN WHAT THEY ARE DOING SCUM! and need to be sued for tearing people's cars up and stealing their money. Low life's with no actual skills in life sept ripping people off.. LOW LIFE TOP TO BOTTOM. Not a single person with more than an 5th grade education. Owner has car loaded with guns with treating people with them. Also yes if you have an all wheel drive vehicle they just tow it and not on a flatbed so most likely your gonna have to pay for that as well. These people all need a beating nearly to death!!! Then let them recover then beat to death.

I was driving down I25 south and my car started to overheat. I got off on Colorado Blvd and parked in the Vitamin Cottage/Wells Fargo lot. I opened the hood and saw that i was leaking coolant. Since the vehicle was running very hot, i decided to eat breakfast a block away. When I got back my car was gone, within an hour. Thank you Rene at St. Charles Town Co 303-595-8210 for calling the tow company. I strongly caution anyone who shops at Natural Grocers, Wells Fargo or Pei Wei. Your time spent in their establishment may end up with a $300 tow bill attached.

On Feb. 14 i took my daughter out to VooDoo doughnuts we had traveled from North Dakota to Denver. while getting doughnuts our Yukon was towed away. this happened in less then 10 Minutes. when we arrived to the parking lot the truck was gone. two weeks later we take our truck in for oil change and check up. we found a leak in the differential. so along with a $300 tow i have to pay another $200 to replace seals. any tow company should know that all wheeled vehicles need to be flatbed towed.

Colorado Roadside Posse runs their business like they are A) a bunch of crooks or B) shouldn't be in business. I went to dinner last night and parked my car at a business across the street. There were no signs posted on the front of the building for private parking and we planned to be in and out. On our way out 25 minutes later, we realized we had been towed. After searching the parking lot for a sign, we found one in the dark on the side of the building, opposite where we parked that was completely sun bleached almost to the point of being unreadable and called to figure out when we could pick it up. They told us charges were $200 and we could pick it up at 9 am the next morning and that they take cards or cash. After arriving at the lot at 9 the next morning, no one was there. We called back and they said the driver was at the Pilot, half a block away. 30 minutes later he shows up and complains that he "doesn't have time for this, and needs to be somewhere else." Funny thing, that's exactly how we felt as we waited 30 minutes for him to show up and after he berated us for bringing a card and said they were cash only (which didn't seem to be a problem given he had a square on him). In addition he mentioned there are 5 signs on the property, when I corrected him that there was one on the side of the building in the dark and it was as sunbleached as the one hanging outside their yard he told me I should "go back where I came from". Again, excellent customer service! I called the owner to explain my frustration and he indicated that "they don't have to take abuse from people they tow and they operate by appointment as far as pickup." It would have been nice to know that up front. I totally understand that you have to deal with a lot of upset people in the towing industry, but given the terrible communication and operations at this place I'm not sure I'd recommend them to anyone.
