NTB-National Tire & Battery

If by ,1pm on Monday 3/30/15, I haven't been compensated for the wrongful acts that have been done to me by employees of NTB I will be going to the district attorney office to file charges on NTB for theft by services! Check reciepts for accuracy especially on the odometer entry to uour actual mileage.

Took my truck to NTB in Deer Park for a front to back check up besides having my oil changed. The manager was very helpfull explaining everything to me that needed to be done and gave a time frame that it would take to get the job done. I told him to go head and start the work and even the cost was alot less than what I thought it would be. These people are nice and very helpfull. I would recommend this store to all of my friends. Keep up the good work!!!

The manager there was helpful and explain different things that needed to be done,course I said to proceed with the work and he even told me a time frame it would take to get it all done. My wife took her car to the NTB in Deer Park, TX to have them check a "Squeal" in the front tire. The "mechanic", if that's what you call him, advised her that it was a bad bearing in the front left hub and quoted over $500 to repair the problem. She called me and knowing that a "squeal" is usually the brake pad wear indicator, I told her to thank them and leave.



The next day, we took the car over to our trusted auto repair shop, Ash Automotive in Clear lake, and they verified that the wear indicator on the left front was the source of the "squeal". Their quote to do a complete brake job, with rotors, was $250.00.



The moral of the story....STAY AWAY FROM NTB CAUSE THEY ARE EITHER CHEATS OR EMPLOY INEXPERIENCED MECHANICS!

Went in for a $40 state inspection. Three and a half hours, and nearly $300 later... sigh. They said I needed a new tire (the oooonly one available was $130) and did an unnecessary alignment, and tried to get me to finance a new tie rod. Geez.

I bought 2 new tires for the back. They rotate the front to the back and broke the stud from the front. They asked $50 for the stud then later let me know that while removing the stud they would need to replace the rolls which add $400.

I asked my mechanic and he said there is no need to do all of that. The store does not allow me to take back the car. They asked $178 for the time they disconnect my front car wheel which i never asked and the car has to be tolled away.

Once the car in their hand, they will find an argument that your car is un safe to drive and you cannot take it back. BE CAREFUL dealling with them unless you have time and prepared to call police.

Took my car for a front end alignment. I am a mechanic but alignments need to be done on an alignment rack. I got a call after drop off that one part was frozen, preventing the completion. I OK'd the work since I had previous work to do, and doing it myself would put off the completion for a day or two. The part they used, I asked for it back, was showing signs of wear but no sign of being frozen. My problem with NTB is that I checked on the retail price of the part and they had marked it up OVER 100 PERCENT. It is looking like I took a bath on the labor too!

One big reason for becoming a mechanic was to avoid what most of Ya'll must go through on a regular basis. Shame on NTB! If you need work done, I advise going elsewhere.
