Taqueria del Sol

This is the Decatur location, located on Ponce de Leon a few blocks before you get to the Decatur Square. Taqueria has some of the cheapest Mexican food in Atlanta but still with great quality. The lines are normally long at lunchtime, but they go pretty quickly. The service is no frills - you order at the counter (make sure to do this first before grabbing a table), then they'll bring the food to you. A small menu, but everything is tasty, and they rotate out lunch specials each week.

The Taqueria Del Sol locations offer several different taco options, The atmosphere and location of this restaurant in Decatur is excellent.

Great tacos but a flaw in the system. It's hard to find better tacos around but everyone complains about the people/service here. I really think it's their system of managing the tables via the line. They intentionally slow the line down to make sure you've got a table after you order but that just gets people frustrated and then the staff always seems to be hurrying you off. I'm not sure what the answer is to this problem, but I don't think this is it. The best bet is just to go when there is no line and you'll have a great experience.

Great margaritas and tacos and chips. Only down side is the wait times can be crazy long and out the door!

Don't worry too much about the line, it moves quick. The taco's are great! Try the Memphis and the Fish for sure.
