Based in Decatur, Ga., Columbia Middle School is a division of DeKalb County School System and serves students of grades six through eight. The school offers various subjects, such as language arts, math, science and social studies. The school is equipped with more than 50 classrooms, three science demonstration rooms, and writing, math, and family and consumer science laboratories. Its facilities also include career connection, business and technology education and foreign language labs and band, strings, chorus and key boarding classrooms. The school also provides a gymnasium with weight, wrestling and locker rooms and a media center with books and equipment. It offers various athletic programs, such as baseball, basketball, softball, swimming and soccer.
