I took my vehicle into Village Ford for some recalls after making an appointment. I got a call later that day at 5:35pm stating the vehicle was done. I told them to leave the car out front with the keys in the glove box because we might not get there before 6. I picked up the vehicle a few minutes before 6. While backing out of the parking spot I noticed the brakes didn’t work. I tried a couple more time with the same result. I was able to get inside to inform my representative of the problem. He said I would have to leave it there until the next day. The next afternoon I called back for a status. I was told that the “brake guy” was very busy and I would have to wait for a number of others to have their vehicles fixed first. I then informed them the brakes were working when I brought it in and they must have disconnected something while working on the recalls. They then told me they would expedite it. Then then called later that day to say they had fixed it and that the technician had disconnected the master cylinder. They said they were closing at 3:30 for the new year’s holiday. Again I told them to leave the car out front with the keys inside. After going up again I could not find my car out front. I looked in the locked gate and noticed it there. Therefore, I was unable to pick my vehicle car until 2 days later.

The thing that bothers me the MOST is that someone at Village Ford was willing to release a car to me without working brakes. Certainly the person who drove my car out front must have noticed the brakes not working. This could have been a dangerous situation. I would think twice about bringing my car back there and certainly would not buy another vehicle there.
