Dental Examination
A periodontal examination is performed to diagnose gum disease. A periodontal probe is used to make several measurements around each tooth. Pocket depth is one measurement that is made six places around each tooth. Pockets should measure 3 mm or less and not bleed when probed. Bleeding is a sign of inflammation. X-rays are necessary to help assess bone loss.

Teeth Cleaning
Was comfortable with my teeth cleaning and other procedures. I wish I had found them a long time ago. I’d recommend them(and have) to everyone.
Dental Sealants
Sealants can protect teeth from this destruction. A sealant is a clear or shaded plastic material that is applied to the chewing surfaces of the teeth. It creates a protective covering that resists foods, acids, and tooth decay. Because sealants help preserve teeth, they are considered a preventive procedure.

Fillings
Much like other types of insurance, the price of the policy determines what kind of coverage you get. In today’s market, most carriers sell “cafeteria style” policies, allowing each employer to choose what will and will not be covered. When a procedure is excluded by your insurance company, this doesn’t mean that the procedure is not “dentally necessary” but rather a restriction of your plan. Frequency limitations are an example of policy restrictions. Some policies allow certain procedures to be performed only so often, such as x-rays every six months or every year; or crown replacement every three, five, seven or ten years. Your coverage may only allow benefits for the least expensive treatment for a condition. For example, they may reduce the coverage of a tooth colored composite filling on a back tooth to the coverage of a silver amalgam filling.
Resin Composite
3. Tooth colored composite resins are added to the tooth and shaped. These materials are a combination of plastic resin and glass particles.
Veneers
Porcelain laminate veneers are thin custom-made shells of porcelain that are bonded directly to the teeth. They are used to treat gaps and teeth that are permanently stained, poorly shaped, or out of alignment.
Crowns
When a tooth is fractured, severely damaged by decay, or has a large old filling, a crown (also called a cap) is often placed. A crown strengthens the tooth, protects the remaining tooth structure and can improve appearance.
Bridges
When multiple teeth are missing, removable partial dentures are often used to replace them, particularly when there are not enough teeth left to fabricate a fixed bridge. When all the teeth are missing in an arch, full dentures are placed.

Sometimes teeth that need crowns may also need root canals because the nerve inside the tooth has been damaged. When back teeth have root canals performed, they need to have crowns placed to strengthen them because they can become brittle over time.

It’s very easy to maintain your new Thermofit occlusal guard. Remove your guard in the morning and then rinse it in cold water. Clean the outside very lightly with a toothbrush and toothpaste. Do not brush the soft inside. You may soak it in a denture cleaner as needed. Do not use alcohol or alcohol-based products. Never boil your occlusal guard. Good tooth brushing and flossing of your own teeth is also very important. Use your storage case to store your occlusal guard. You can store it dry. Do not store it in alcohol or alcohol-based products. Many mouthwashes contain alcohol so please read label carefully!
