Fluoride Treatment

Dental Sealants
Dental sealants allow us to quickly protect your child’s teeth from potentially damaging bacteria, plaque, and tartar. As the name suggests, sealants are applied directly to the surfaces of teeth where they create a clear layer of protective coating that seals out any potentially damaging products. We can apply sealants during a regular office visit, and the procedure is completely painless. We simply paint a coat of the sealant liquid onto the surfaces of teeth. Then, we use a curing light to harden them in place. Once in position, sealants can remain for years protecting teeth from damage.

Fillings
Resin Composite
If you experience minor tooth decay or damage, we’ll offer a simple, one visit restoration method that will replace the lost tooth structure and restore teeth to their natural look and feel. The process is simple. We may need to remove some damaged tooth enamel or smooth the remaining tooth structure. Then, we’ll apply the composite resin filling material that has been shaded to match your tooth. We shape the malleable material into position and apply a curing light to harden the material.
Crowns
We are located near the intersection of Lombardy Ln. and Webb Chapel Ext., just a few minutes away from Crown Hill Memorial Park. You’ll find our suite in the same building as an AmericaPCS, Wingstop, and Cricket Wireless retailer. If you’re driving on 35E, you can simply take the Lombardy exit and head west. From the Dallas North Tollway, you can take the W Northwest Hwy. exit and follow it all the way to Webb Chapel road. Take a right, and our office will be on your left just after Webb Chapel Ext.

Restorative Dentistry
When dental damage or decay occurs, we may need to provide restorative dentistry services. We believe in conservative treatments that preserve the greatest amount of natural tooth structure while providing the necessary level of restoration. Root Canal Treatment
Root canal therapy is necessary when tooth decay or damage reaches the innermost layers of teeth. The pulp layer of the tooth contains the nerve system, so when damage reaches this inner tooth structure, the result is a painful toothache. Root canals are procedures used to remove the damaged tissue, pulp, and nerve. Then, we refill the tooth with a similar substance, and in most cases, we’ll need to place a dental crown to protect the treated tooth.

Deep Cleaning
While it is beneficial to your oral and overall health to maintain a good at-home routine and attend regular checkups to prevent issues with your gums, we do offer a treatment that can reverse the earlier stages of gum disease. This service is called scaling and root planing, also sometimes called a deep cleaning.

Dentures
For more extensive tooth loss, patients will need four to six dental implant posts to support a partial or full denture. Like their traditional, removable counterparts, the implant supported prosthetics are crafted by using a gum colored base to provide support for any number of replacement teeth. We use the minimum number of implants possible to achieve adequate support.

Dental Implants
Dental implants are placed and restored over two phases and may include three or more visits to our office. During the initial phase, one or more dental implants will be surgically placed below the gum line. Depending on the number and placement of the missing teeth, your dental implant surgery may be completed in a few minutes or a few hours, and we’ll use the necessary sedation method to ensure your comfort for the duration. To place an implant, the dentist will make an incision in the soft tissue. Then, the post will be inserted into the jawbone. Then, a protective cap is placed over the implant post to allow for proper healing while maintaining necessary space for the abutment (attachment piece) to be connected and provide an anchor for the replacement tooth or teeth. Following the placement of the implant(s) patients will need to wait three to six months for the implant to fuse completely with the jaw bone before receiving their final, permanent dental restoration. In the meantime, we may need to provide a temporary restoration depending on the extent of the tooth loss.

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Jaw Surgery
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons are the only dental specialists recognized by the American Dental Association who are surgically trained in a hospital based residency training program for a minimum of four years. They train alongside medical residents in internal medicine, general surgery and anesthesiology, and spend time in otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), plastic surgery, emergency medicine, and other specialty areas. This training focuses almost completely on the bone, skin, and muscle of the face, mouth, and jaw. Oral and facial surgeons have knowledge and expertise that uniquely qualifies them to diagnose and treat a number of functional and esthetic conditions in this anatomical area. An oral surgeon performs surgery on the mouth and jaw. This can be done to repair birth defects, facial reconstruction, dental implants, removal of benign cysts and tumors, jaw surgery, and removal of teeth.
Tooth Extractions
In most cases, we’ll work hard to avoid removing teeth by providing advanced restorative solutions that look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. However, there are some situations where tooth extraction is actually the best treatment to protect your overall oral health. When this is the case, we’ll be happy to pull or surgically extract your tooth or teeth to ensure the rest of your smile remains whole and healthy. We will work with you to ensure your comfort and safety during tooth extraction.

Orthodontics is a branch of dentistry that specializes in treating patients with improper positioning of teeth when the mouth is closed, which results in an improper bite.
