Stover's Flooring & Drapery Center

Tom and Karen handled our wall to wall carpet purchase and install. Everything they promised was accomplished to the highest quality. We moved with the help of Tom's suggestion of two men and a truck much of the furniture into my one care garage and my wife and I emptied all the dresser drawers and china cab and curios. Tom only suggested that we remove the china and the stuff from the curios. The installers were very grateful, even though they still had dressers, curios to move and beds to disassemble and re-assemble. They removed the old carpet and pad and installed the new carpet and pad in 5.5 hours. Any effort my wife and I had to put in was well worth it (and we are 68 and 72 years old)! It looks and feels great. Only had to use two men and a truck for 2 hours 15 minutes over two days. The entire cost a little under $4500.00 and was well worth every penny. The carpet/pad cost/install was $4083.00. The remainder was for two men and a truck who did a lot of furniture moving as well as packing/unpacking three sets of china and on Saturday when they brought everything back in to the house, they also brought most of what I had packed as well. Oh yes, they installed 894 Sq Ft of carpet/pad. The entire project went off without any problem at all. Outstanding product and service! All the workers were extremely impressive which reflect well on Stovers Carpet and Tom and Karen! We strongly recommend this business!

RUN do not walk the other way.

This guy not only ordered the WRONG wood flooring and didn't tell us until it was in the house the day it was supposed to be installed and all the previous flooring had been ripped out but he, and I'm quoting George the owner, "I don't think I have anything to apologize for. If you don't want it we can send it back and you'll just have to wait."



He had the wood for over a week. Didn't even check the order!



That was just perfect. Our house was in a shambles, the previous floor had been torn up and to top it off it was 2 weeks before Christmas and we had company coming in 4 days.



Now I know things happen but how unbelievably RUDE and disrespectful of someone's home, time and situation. After I yelled for about 20 min he told me that he ordered what I wanted but the rep sent the wrong item. I don't believe that for second. I think he is a liar and a screw up. But regardless, he didn't even think to check the order. I even said to him, "Isn't this what you do for a living?"



Then I find out from others doing work on my house at the time the guy George the owner and his company Stovers carpets (and floors) has a terrible reputation. Would have been nice to know before I hired him.



Which is exactly why I'm writing this review.
