Carolina Digestive Health Associates, operational for more than 20 years, provides complete gastroenterology care services. The clinic s staff includes more than 17 accredited gastroenterologists, and 10 nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Its services include abdominal and pelvic ultrasound, anorectal manometry, bacterial overgrowth test, barium enema, barium swallow, colonoscopy and CT scan. It also specializes in upper endoscopy that enables the physician have a radioscopic view of esophagus, stomach and duodenum to treat swallowing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, reflux, bleeding, indigestion, abdominal pain and chest pain. The clinic s additional services include gastric emptying scan, lactose malabsorption test, small bowel follow-through, sigmoidoscopy, and a 24-hour PH study is a method of measuring the amount and frequency of acid reflux from stomach into esophagus.
