Dr. Marcela Mujica received her Doctor of Dental Medicine diploma from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2012. In 2014 she completed the Pediatric Dental Residency program at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and received a Certificate of Residency in Pediatric Dentistry along with a Master of Science degree in Dentistry. Upon completion of her schooling and residency in Philadelphia & Richmond Dr. Mujica opened All Kids Pediatric Dentistry in Charlotte to help every child possible receive the best oral health education and treatment possible. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Academy, the North Carolina Dental Society, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentists and is also a board candidate for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Her research has been published on the subject of chemotherapy effects on tooth enamel for which she is a recipient of the 2014 3M ESPE Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children research fellowship grant. She truly believes that a pediatric dentist can positively affect a child's life by introducing good oral hygiene at an early age, along with preventing tooth decay which can be difficult to address later in life. Children thrive when they have a great oral health foundation. Prior to attending dental school Dr. Mujica lived in Charlotte; working as a hygienist in a pediatric dental office. That is where she learned there is so much joy in helping kids. She also fell in love with the city - so much that her daughter is named Charlotte! Dr. Mujica enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, along with her extended family. She also enjoys diverse food, travel and culture. She's always happy to share experiences of her early life in Peru - so if you ever want tips on travel there, just ask!
