We were blessed enough to have ended up with Dr. Turner for my husband's emergency spinal surgery in the summer of 2012. I (the wife) was and continue to be so impressed with Dr. Turner's knowledge and his willingness to share that knowledge in order for us to understand what is happening. Wonderful bedside manner & it's obvious that he loves his work. His office is over an hour drive from our house but it is worth it! In 2006 my husband had a spinal fusion by an orthopedic surgeon that is a great doctor but there is a world of difference using a neurosurgeon for spinal surgery. He is "up" on all of the latest & greatest techniques and very willing to spend time communicating the pros / cons of the different techniques. On another note, the staff in his office is phenomenal; MY HUSBAND IS NOT JUST A CHART NUMBER!!! We both just can't say enough great things about Dr. Turner and his staff...truly amazing!

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
The carpal tunnel is a small passageway in the wrist that is formed by the carpal bones. The medial nerve runs through the tunnel and is responsible for the movement of the fingers. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the median nerve is pinched and causes numbness in the hand. Our team is trained to treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome through the use of surgery.

First off, thank you for choosing FRISCO SPINE. Dr. Paul Salinas knows you have options, and we appreciate you choosing our practice. Most often patients come to FRISCO SPINE expecting our physicians to perform a full physical exam and release a diagnosis. However, our neurosurgeons DO perform neurosurgical consultations. This means they rely on imaging, such as MRI, CT scans, x-ray’s etc, to properly diagnose exactly what is going on. For example, the imaging will be able to show our neurosurgeons if a slipped disc, pinched nerve, or herniated disc is the root of your symptoms. Additional testing may be required to properly pinpoint your issue. Examples of these tests include, EMG’s, EEG’s, discograms, etc. Our neurosurgeons do NOT do pain injections or medication management. We will refer you to an appropriate specialist to provide those services to you.

Dr. Paul Salinas has been in practice as a physician since 2000 after graduating from The University of Texas Houston Medical School, followed by a neurosurgery residency at the University of Texas medical branch in Galveston, Texas, completed in 2008. In the same time period he completed a Neuro-Oncology in-folded fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas in 2005 before heading over to Los Angeles, California for his spine surgery fellowship, which he completed at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Institute for Spinal Disorders in 2009.

He is a native of Dallas, Texas, who returned to the area after his extensive neurosurgical training in 2009 to start Frisco Spine. Frisco Spine has grown since that time to become a center of multi-specialist practice that encompasses anesthesia pain specialist, neurophysiologist, neuro-radiologist, neuro-anesthesiologist, and out-patient physical therapy all under one roof.
