We provide oral cancer screenings during all preventive care appointments.

Teeth Cleaning
Fluoride Treatment
The Zoom! Whitening procedure is simple and painless. It begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. We then apply a special cleaner that reduces sensitivity and pre-cleans the teeth. After this, the Zoom!Whitening Gel is applied and activated by a special light. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter, sometimes more. A five-minute fluoride treatment completes the procedure. You’ll be amazed with the results. In most cases, teeth get even whiter the first few days after the procedure. For long term results the take home whitening must be done after the Zoom procedure in the office.
Dental Sealants
Tooth decay and children no longer have to go hand-in-hand. At our pediatric dentistry office, we are most concerned with all aspects of preventive care. We use the latest in sealant technology to protect your child’s teeth. Sealants are space-age plastics that are bonded to the chewing surfaces of decay prone back teeth. This is just one of the ways we will set the foundation for your child’s lifetime of good oral health.

Fillings
Until recently, silver amalgam was the material most often used to restore decayed portions of your teeth, especially back teeth. Unfortunately, silver fillings can really darken a smile, and amalgam, by its very nature, can cause damage to your tooth in the long run. Amalgam fillings absorb moisture and expand and contract with heat and cold. So, as the filling ages, it can fracture your tooth; we’ll then need to place a porcelain crown on your tooth to save it. Also, silver fillings often undergo metal fatigue, corroding and leaking over time. This destroys the protective seal of the filling and allows new decay to develop underneath it. This leakage can give a gray appearance to the entire tooth.
Resin Composite
Inlays and onlays are used to replace your silver filling. These restorations are usually made from composite resin material, porcelain or gold. Once placed, they are virtually undetectable in the mouth, and they conserve much of your natural tooth structure.
Veneers
Dental veneers are a thin shell of porcelain or plastic that is bonded to a tooth to improve its color and shape. This generally covers only the front and top of a tooth. These can be used to close spaces between teeth, lengthen small or misshapen teeth, or whiten stained or dark teeth. When teeth are chipped or beginning to wear, these can protect them from damage and restore their original appearance.
Crowns
To get to the infected tooth pulp, we’ll make an opening through the top of the crown down into the pulp chamber. In some cases, we may have to remove the entire crown in order to access the pulp chamber. We’ll then use a tiny tool called a dental file to carefully remove the infected tissue and shape the root canals to receive a filling material.
Bridges
Dental Bridges are useful as corrective measures for things such as after an accident or for serious dental decay. These restorations are generally made of porcelain or a composite material and are used to replace missing teeth, they are used as a method by which to not only restore your bite but also to create a pleasant smile.
Restorative Dentistry
Dental implants and porcelain crowns are practically indistinguishable from your natural teeth, and they fit so securely that you won’t even notice it when you chew and speak. When we place dental implants, it’s not necessary for us to alter the structure of the adjacent teeth, so their strength and integrity is maintained. Also, a dental implant replaces the roots of a missing tooth, which helps to fend off the bone loss that occurs when a tooth is missing. In essence, an implant is the next best thing to your natural tooth. Start-to-finish, the procedure may require several months to complete, because it can take about three to four months for the dental implants to fuse to your bone tissue through a process called osseointegration. A dental implant won’t work for you if you aren’t in good general health. Your gums and jaw bone must be healthy enough to support the implant, and you must be meticulous about your daily home care routine. You’ll also need to visit us up to four times a year for cleanings. We won’t recommend dental implants if you suffer from a chronic illness such as diabetes, as this can interfere with healing. And if you are a smoker, you may not be a good candidate for a dental implant; smokers are at greater risk for gum disease, and gum disease weakens the bone and soft tissue needed to support the implant. If you’re interested in replacing a missing tooth with a dental implant, we will perform a thorough evaluation to determine whether your health and lifestyle make you a good candidate for this relatively new approach to restorative dentistry.

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.

Dentures
If you have lost your teeth and are noticing that your dentures are loose, dingy yellow, or don’t support your face, then you may be a candidate for a cosmetic denture. Our dentures are fabricated with high quality porcelain teeth for the most aesthetically pleasing result possible. They should be examined every year for fit and chewing efficiency.
