Sammys Neighborhood Pub

I have always heard very good things about Sammy's. However, after an incident last night, I will never patronize this establishment. There was a local event going on called "Belmont Alive," and my friend's 4YO daughter needed a bathroom to the point where she was crying. Sammy's flat-out REFUSED to allow my friend to bring her daughter in to use their bathroom; the poor child ended up having an accident right outside their door as a result. To add to the insult, Sammy's has not only NOT apologized to this mother and child, but they keep deleting the comments posted on their Facebook page from irate parents. They claim to be "...professionals with decades of experience..." yet are demonstrating that they are anything BUT professional. I recommend that you avoid this place at all costs, especially if you have small children. They aren't worth the trouble.

neighborhood..." This taken from your face book page, and yet you looked a 4 year old, crying because she had to use the bathroom, in the face and told her and her mother to get out! Doesn't sound so PROFESSIONAL or WELCOMING to me.

I’ve been to Sammy's well over half dozen times since it opened few years ago. The atmosphere is okay, but food is mediocre at best and it’s very loud when full and is often smoky. This restaurant does well only because there are so few other choices in this town. After the most recent experience I had, I would recommend anyone try ANY of the other choices over Sammy's. I ordered a drink that was on special - Cinnamon something Martini that was not only the most unattractive drink I've ever seen, but tasted horrible. I felt it was my fault for ordering the drink on special so and did not ask to have it returned. The friend who was with me decided to inform the waitress (who was very nice and cordial) that I did not like the drink. The waitress took the drink and told the manager about my dissatisfaction. My friend noticed an exchange between manager and waitress so when our waitress stopped at our table the next time, I told her not to take the drink off my bill since I should not have ordered. She acted relieved and apologized profusely and informed me that the manager had told her SHE (the waitress!!!) was going to have to pay for the drink I did not like! My friend and I were appalled! I paid for the drink as well as the other one I ordered to replace it. We will not go back and I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone after witnessing such a shameful display of poor management.

Most menu items are pretty good, some not so hot (stay away from the nachos, or any tex-mex dish). Family friendly. They do a great business because they're one of the VERY few places to go in Belmont. And they take advantage of that fact by nickel-and-diming their customers to death. They advertize a happy hour with half-off appetizers, when I got my bill I was surprised to learn that mine was the only appetizer that was NOT half-off! Or like when I asked for a little extra blue cheese with my wings; the waitress happily says "Sure!", then the bill arrives with an extra $1.50 charge on it... come ON! It just makes you feel like they don't value you as a customer.
