Teeth Cleaning
Children’s hands and mouths are different than those of adults. They need to use toothbrushes designed for children. Both adults and children should use brushes with soft, rounded bristles for gentle cleaning. Change to a new toothbrush about every three months.
Fluoride Treatment
Regular visits help your child stay cavity-free. Dental cleanings remove buildup on the teeth which may irritate the gums or cause decay. Fluoride treatments renew the fluoride content in the enamel, strengthening the teeth and preventing cavities.
Dental Sealants
A Sealant is a hardened plastic material applied to the vulnerable grooves and pits on the chewing surface of the back teeth (premolars and molars). The sealant acts as a barrier to food debris, plaque and bacteria protecting these cavity prone areas of the teeth. Avoidance of sticky or hard foods, which can “pull” at or “break” the sealants will help them last longer.

So thankful for Dr.Parti and her amazing assistants especially Aileen and the assistants that help her with sedation treatments. We've had such a hard time finding a trustful dentist and staff here in Watsonville and surrounding areas. Our two boys had bad experiences with previous dental offices. I am glad I did not allow any treatment at any other offices. Dentists were over diagnosing and the staff didn't seem to care about patients. Here with Dr.Parti we felt good from the moment we walked in. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Aileen was amazing at explaining the entire treatment plan to us. All of our questions were answered before any treatment was performed. Dr.Parti told us some of my 3 year olds front teeth were going to be crowned but might possibly need to be extracted due to the extent of the cavities. Not only did she save his teeth but also saved them with white crowns!!!!! Another great thing was parents are allowed to see the dental treatment being done on their children through a monitor. My 5 year old had a lot of work done and didn't even cry! He had no pain during his procedure! There are so many positive things to say about this office I can go on and on. Thank you Dr.Parti and staff!!! We found a lifelong dentist for our boys! Would highly recommend!!!

Root Canal Treatment
It usually affects the upper front teeth of infants and toddlers who fall asleep with a bottle of milk, formula, fruit juices, or any sweetened liquid. Lower front teeth are in general less affected since they are covered by the tongue. The process of tooth decay is the result of teeth being exposed for long periods of time to liquids containing sugars. The cavities first appear at the gum line as subtle, white, decalcified streaks. The process then begins to accelerate. In advanced cases, the crowns of the four upper incisors are completely destroyed, leaving decayed brownish-black stumps. By this time, baby teeth may either require crowns, root canal therapy, or even extraction.
