Dr. Kim Oppenheimer has published numerous research articles in professional journals and has given many peer-reviewed presentations in the areas of divorce adjustment and anxiety disorders. Prior to full-time private practice, Dr. Oppenheimer was an Associate Professor of Psychology at Georgia State University where she taught graduate classes in psychological testing and psychotherapy. She was also an Assistant Professor of Family Medicine and Psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia. In this role, she was Director of Student Health Psychological Services and taught residents and interns behavioral medicine, crisis intervention, and long-term psychotherapy. Dr. Oppenheimer received the Outstanding Faculty Award for excellence in clinical training for her work with the Psychology interns for the Department of Psychiatry at the Medical College of Georgia.
