Nestled in the Northwest corner of downtown Athens GA, Live Wire Athens has quickly established itself as a premier music hall, h audio/visual production house, private event space, and a beacon for true music lovers. Our staff is comprised of a team of passionate individuals dedicated to celebrating Athens’ vibrant live music scene, that have summed up our mission into a two word mantra that has stood for over ten years: Love Music. LWA is a unique space in downtown Athens. Features include three stages (one of them outdoors), state-of-the-art sound and light production, a wide dance floor perfect for high energy parties, an outdoor courtyard/beer garden, flat screen TV’s, a 15ft cinema screen for show projections, a full bar featuring over 50 craft beers and multi-camera/multi-track audio & video broadcasting capabilities. The venue consistently hosts a calendar of renowned local, regional and national touring music acts, as well as special events, mini-festivals, college parties, formals, cinematic televising of films and sports games, weddings, theatrical performances, fundraisers and more. As a production house, LWA hosts artists that throw live stage performances that are captured in studio quality audio and hi-def video on multiple cameras. Artists have the ability to sell tickets for their "Live Studio Sessions" to their fans online and take advantage of our street team for promotional purposes. Fans and supporters can not only "kickstart" the production project by buying a ticket, but improve the energy of the concert production by being an audience member. Our production team are able to edit the resulting media down into a live album, music video, promotional video or indeed whatever the artists might have a vision for. We are committed to providing unsurpassed entertainment and service, as well as a home for musicians and music lovers alike.
