Arvada City Government Animal Management

My cat went missing so I contacted animal control to help me find my pet...They lied to me and told me that my cat had been run over by a car and that they'd picked it up. Come to find out my cat has been up the street for nearly a year, at another home! They went to the house to check it out when I called again because Id found a missing cat online that was mine, and because the family had kids that loved the cat, they told me the cat was just fine and it was now their cat. There is nothing more I can do. I know its my cat because of its distinctive eyes! Im devastated.
