A staff member named Kylie Ratliff killed a rattlesnake, posted the picture on the practice's Facebook page, then posted again refusing to apologize for her actions. This is a clear reflection of this practixe's beliefs-they only care about certain animals. How can you trust them to care for your own pets if they kill animals?

A disgusting example of animal care. Kills native wildlife and brags about it on social media. Them when questioned about it. Attacked and insults. Then issued an "apology" stating that what they did was right and business continued to condone killing native wildlife saying "That animal means less then their dogs"

I was not informed the office had changed hands until I asked when I got there. We had been taking our pets to Dr. Williams for years with no complaints. I called & made an appointment to get Sandy's shots & her heart-worm medications renewed.
I told him she had been acting a little lethargic, but she's 10 yrs old. I knew there would be a blood test for heartworms but wasn't informed of the additional $150.00 in tests until after the fact. Sandy still hasn't had any of her shots & he wants me to bring her back the next day for more tests which would take all day and another 2 or 3 hundred dollars.
I changed my mind about more blood tests. I was supposed to have her at his office between 7:30 & 8. I called the office to tell them at 20 minutes til 8, and proceeded to get scolded by his office manager. He said I shouldn't have waited so long to notify them. He said he had been there 10 minutes before I called.
I didn't appreciate his attitude and being scolded by him,so I hung up.

Dr. Ratliff spayed my feral cat by removing her ovaries, but leaving her uterus.. I learned this from another vet in town who disagrees with the procedure. Afraid the cat died from an infection, because I've never seen her again. Since the Williams retired, this clinic is unprofessional and sloppy. Record-keeping is horrible.

Neither Dr Ratliff nor his staff listen to what I tell them concerning my pets. They have preconceived ideas as to the problem and solution.

This was by far, not only the worst vet business I have ever experienced (and I have experienced a lot), but it was also the worst business experience I have ever encountered. I have only taken the time to give good reviews on things like this so this is my first BAD review. Now that Chimney Rock Animal Hospital has been bought out, it is a joke. I have never seen such unprofessional staff in my life. Dr. Radliff and his wife KYLIE own it and Kylie is not "office manager" material. Sadly, there's nothing you can do when it's a family owned business. I'll save y'all the time, so long story short, she got so mad when she found out that another clinic was cheaper than they were. She asked me which clinic and when I told her, she laughed in my face like I didn't know what I was talking about and stormed off into her office as she said, "Then take your dog to them next time." I was in complete shock and responded with, "I will!" About 10 minutes later, I had to go back and pick up medicine that I had left on the counter. When I got there, Dr. Radliff (who had no idea at the time what had happened) was at the front and I nicely told him, "I need to talk to you about something that happened with your "office manager" earlier." His face went blank and said, "Ok, that's my wife." She instantly ran out of the office (that I knew she was in) and stormed to the front door and held it open and said, "GET OUT!!! I'm not going to let you talk bad about me to MY husband." I then replied with, "Are you freaking kidding me? Do you think I'm going to leave here after I just paid y'all $450 and not even get to tell him how rude and disrespectful you were to me?" So, this went back and forth for about 15 minutes while she's repeatedly yelling for me to get out! It was the most unprofessional place I have ever been to. Considering that they have only been in business since May, they won't have much business if she keeps it up. She knew she was guilty and that's why she tried to kick me out before I could even state my problem to the Dr. I can't believe that someone that is suppose to be an "office manager" would get so mad and tell someone to take their dog somewhere else next time, just because the other place was cheaper. My dog has to have stitches taken out in 2 weeks and sadly, even though I already paid them $450, I will have to take him to another vet and pay to have them removed because I would never put my animal anywhere near her care again. I wish I had known before I went that the other wonderful vet before them had retired. A very hard and expensive lesson learned.

I am just as likely to write good things about companies as bad, but here goes a negative one...

/rant on

Maybe Chimney Rock Animal Hospital can admin their posts on their page, but they cannot stop me from posting here.

When this was run by my veterinarian, Dr. Allen Williams and his wife, Kathy, this was by far the best I'd ever been with. They really showed how they cared, never seemed in a rush, and ALWAYS remembered you and your babies. But, unfortunately, Dr. Williams retired and sold his business.

This new vet, Dr. Ratliff...OMG I just cannot spout enough about how much aggravation and crap he's caused me and my dogs. It started out with me trying to refill the heartworm meds. I didn't know that Dr. Williams had retired at the time, and days kept going by with no response from them. At first it started out with the online company trying to fax to the wrong number so, ok, that was their fault.

But then it turned into a back-and-forth, until finally this new guy called me to tell me he wouldn't renew Gypsy's meds because they didn't show a test in their records. I would have been ok with that, except for the way he spoke about it. First he went on about how Dr. Williams must have been neglectful for not having their annual test (umm, you don't speak bad about your predecessor). Then there was the "well, you shouldn't be giving Axel Novox, you should try my laser treatment for his pain; I don't know why that was even prescribed". Umm...again...you obviously didn't look at his history and known what was going on" (this was about a week before his surgery). Then there were insinuations about how I took care of my dogs, especially when I did go in and take Gypsy for a test ("well, you get what you pay for with those online companies" (third umm...its Iverhart, I don't think that changes whether I buy your overinflated prices or from an online company") which then turned in to "you must not be giving your dogs their heartworm meds because she's heartworm positive". Next to final "ummm"...If you had looked at when I got her, you idiot, you would have seen that more than likely they were in incubation period when the shelter got her so it didn't show up.

Now, I do need to point out that he HIMSELF had told me that he approved the meds for Axel and Kodo. Guess what - I've been fighting to get Kodo's ever since (fortunately I could split the box with Kodo and Axel to keep him covered in the meantime).

Now today, trying yet again to get Kodo's meds, they still came up declined. So I called up there...NOW his office is saying that because I transferred his records they won't do anything.

Oh! And how could I forget my favorite part of the story where first the vet tech tells my dog "hopefully I'll get it on the first try" when she's getting ready to draw Gypsy's blood (WTF?) and then prances around the back hallway going on and on about how happy she was that she finally did it. Unprofessional much?
