Stump Grinding and Removal
We have a variety of stump grinding machines that allow us to access just about any stump. We can grind the stump shallow and allow for reseeding with grass or grind the stump deep and wide so that a new tree or other landscaping may be put in the area. Typically, we leave the stump grindings to grade level of the ground, suitable for reseeding with grass. If requested, we can also remove all grindings completely and fill the void with soil.
Storm Damage Cleanup
The atmosphere surrounding a storm can be chaotic, but the response and cleanup work needs to be done calmly and safely. You need to evaluate your property and prioritize the worst cases first. Our work needs to be dictated by safety. We never want to be in a hurry as this is when more damage and accidents are likely to occur. The large majority of storm damage work should be carried out by trained professionals. Safety is our primary focus when addressing storm-damaged trees, knowledge and experience are the keys to preserving damaged trees if possible.
Tree Planting
Planting and transplanting trees in our urban forest is often necessary for landscape enhancement or making way for new construction and preserving existing trees on site. Our tree spades are the perfect tools for efficiently and safely completing this work with larger or established trees. Tree spade installations have a high success rate as a greater portion of the root system stays intact when the tree is dug from the ground. Thus, reducing the stress level on the tree and reducing the amount of time needed for the tree to become re-established after planting.
Tree Transplanting
Work with our specialists to determine the best pre – and post – construction recommendations for your trees to minimize negative impacts and protect the value and longevity of your trees. Services include written plans, root pruning, tree transplanting, or other plant health care treatments.

Once you have inspected your property and put controls in place for any hazards, then you can safely begin the cleanup work. Always use caution when it comes to cutting up the fallen branches whether you are using a handsaw or a chainsaw. It is not uncommon for storm-damaged trees or broken branches to be pinned under other branches or trees and under tension. Cutting something under tension will result in a release of energy, which could be a dangerous situation if you aren’t trained or competent in how and where to safely cut that tree or branch. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is critical for your safety and your protection from an unexpected incident. If we knew when an accident was going to occur, we would certainly be better prepared to protect ourselves. PPE is what we wear to protect ourselves from the unexpected. In tree work, the most important PPE is safety glasses, boots with toe protection, and hard hats. If utilizing power equipment such as a chainsaw, then also add hearing protection and chaps for protecting your legs from potential chainsaw kickback. When it comes to cutting, cut the branches into small manageable pieces. Trying to drag or carry large or heavy branches can lead to injuries. If you are cleaning up the debris with friends and family always be aware of where they are while working. Not knowing the proximity of people around you can lead to accidents and injuries. Before you begin cutting make sure to know the location of everyone you are working with. Again, the slow and steady approach is best to minimize the chance of accidents and injuries.
Tree Cabling and Bracing
Cable bracing is used to support structurally weak trees that are susceptible to damage from winds, storms, or even the weight of their own foliage. This support technique uses hardware to make the tree more structurally stable.
Arborist Services
Having a CDL as an arborist is critical to growing your career and earning potential in the arboriculture industry. Many of the vehicles used in commercial arboriculture require a CDL, some of which are Class A or B. We require our staff to earn their CDL Class A with air brakes endorsement. This then allows the driver to drive both A and B-rated vehicles and trailer combinations.
Land Clearing
New construction often requires land clearing to make space. Our Production Arborists are equipped with brush mowers, brush cutters, and all of the necessary skills and equipment to remove vegetation to make room for your next construction project.
Tree Mulching
Urban forest management and arboriculture operations will at times involve the necessary task of removing trees as they decline, become hazardous or die. All this material through the proper treatment can be recycled and re-purposed, either as mulch for our trees or beautiful lumber for building materials. The logs that we attain through our operations can be used for making beautiful furniture, custom hardwood flooring and even decking for our flatbed trailers. Our urban wood program is intended to keep the life of the tree ongoing and resulting in beautiful craftsmanship that can be enjoyed for many years and add value to homes, offices and any other building project.
