Wiggles & Wags Pet Resort

We took our small older healthy spunky Chihuahua to stay at Wiggles and Wags for a week in early October. When we picked him up he was shaking, shedding heavily, flinched when we went to pet him and his ears went back in a submissive frightened manner. He was very sick with kennel cough, had diarrhea, was very weak and lethargic. We had to call the owners twice and finally spoke with Tammy. We asked why we had not been called

I"m sorry to say this, but so soon after losing Chiquita, to have the doggie day care keep Buttercup because I called and told them I was going to be 5 minutes late, is really breaking my heart right now. It may seem like a little thing to them, but no matter how wonderful they have been for her, now I feel I cannot ever bring her back there. I wish I hadn't had called but just jetted out the door, they probably would've give her to me. Instead, I called them, and then after they told me I couldn't have her that night, I lingered at work because I had no reason to jet... I had packed everything hurriedly so I could come get her, now I wasn't going to get her, so I went and said goodbye to a coworker. So then on the way home i got sadder and sadder and so I tried to go get her, but they wouldn't let me have her even when I told them they could keep the 60 I had paid in advance. I was 20 minutes late by then so they will use that in their minds to justify keep ing my dog. Well they can keep the $60 when I go get her tomorrow, I never want to do business with them again. It was unfair to her to keep her. They should just fine late people... I know they have to have policies, but if I hadn't have called to be courteous and tell them I was on my way, they probably would've just let me have her when I got there at 5 after. Now they've lost a customer and picked up some bad reviews on the internet.
