The cable had come off the drum, they sent a guy who fixed that and then proceeded to squirt lube (grease) onto the drive shaft. He put so much grease on the shaft that it started to drip down on the garage floor in ugly black spots. The outside of the garage door started showing oil spots where the too generous use of spray lube had gone from the inside hinges to stain the outside of the door in multiple areas.

I tried to clean this up with kitty litter on the floor and washing the outside of the garage door only to have the outside spots reappear, and more grease dropping on the garage floor. I also did my best to wipe excess grease from the overhead head drive on two occasions, but it kept dripping.

So I called Lincoln. Spoke with Bryan who said he was the owner. I explained the situation and he was absolutely unsympathetic. Instead, he blamed it on my garage door opener?! "those shaft drives are a piece of junk! they are puke! you need to replace it with a new belt drive" blah , blah.

I explained that I was just asking them to clean the excess lube (applied by his technician) up so it wouldn't drop any more on the floor. He said he would have to charge me for the time it took to do that!

I object to paying extra to correct a mistake that should not have been made in the first place. I will not use Lincoln for any future needs and will advise my friends to avoid them as well. If you have a problem with them, do not expect Bryan, the owner, to stand behind their work.

Fix a problem - Cause a problem?

I have used Lincoln to service my garage door since the early 1980's. I have always had excellent service from them until this October. I tied to clean this up with kitty litter on the floor and washing the outside of the garage door only to have the outside spots reappear, and more grease dropping on the garage floor. I also did my best to wipe excess grease from the overhead head drive on two occasions, but it kept dripping. Well, of course the grease got tracked in to the wife's carpet leaving black grease marks on a beige carpet. Mama's not happy!! So I called Lincoln. Spoke with Bryan who said he was the owner. I explained the situation and he was absolutely unsympathetic. Instead, he blamed it on my garage door opener?! "those shaft drives are a piece of junk! they are puke! you need to replace it with a new belt drive" blah , blah.I explained that I wasn't asking for him to clean the carpet (my wife got down and scrubbed the spots out herself) but just to clean the excess lube (applied by his technician) up so it wouldn't drop any more on the floor. He said he would have to charge me for the time it took to do that! I object to paying extra to correct a mistake that should not have been made in the first place. Please Go With a Different Company

My experience is that this is a real looser company, please do yourself a favor and go with a different garage door company. There are so many other garage door companies in the valley that I think you'll have a better experience with than I had with Lincoln Electric Garage Door. If I could leave no stars, I would have.

Awesome work!

My garage door came off the track leaving my vehicle trapped in the garage. I called Lincoln Door and they told me they were completely booked for the day and instead of me having to call another company the owner him self came out and got my door put on track and running perfect again! THANK YOU! I'll recommend Lincoln Door to all my friends and family!

There's a few reasons why I keep calling Lincoln

I've owned a few homes around the valley and recommend Lincoln. As a family business, they really do care about their customers. They are very responsive, know what they are doing, and their prices are competitive.

I went here after dropping and breaking my door opener. The guy that served me was extremely friendly and helpful, and even gave me a discount because I showed up on a motorcycle (he is a fellow rider). I was in and out in under 5 minutes. These guys are great!

Incompetent and Indifferent

I called and scheduled installation of a garage door via this company. They indicated that they would have a technician call with estimated time of arrival between 7 and 9 AM. At 9:30 AM, and with no contact from them, I called. The gentleman that answered the phone was rude, but did have my original salesman call back. I was then told that they would call me between 10 and 12. At 12, when I called back...they told me it would be between 12 and 2. They were indifferent regarding the waste of my time.....was not appreciated. This is not the type of business that I would recommend.

Great installation

I had a metal insulated door installed by Lincoln. Not only was the installation good and clean, but it was done in half the estimated time. The invoice actually came at a lower price than quoted. I think this is an excellant company to trust, especially during these tough times. This is the 3rd time using this company. I will continue to promote these guys.

excellent

I have actually been a customer since 1999... when I bought a garage door and opener...but I recently had problems with the door not opening...I called and they asked me if it would not respond by the remote control or the push button by the back door...it was the remote... I took it to their location... avoiding a service call... and I can't tell u how helpful they were...it was the battery(duh)...which the owner himself gave me for free...and his only request was... tell a friend

Excellent customer service

One of the few companies in the area that will sell parts to consumers. They saved me what could have been a $500.00 repair bill.Took my motors to them and they tested them.It was a minor problem that was easily fixed. This is a honest company that will get my business from now on.Thank you Jonathan for your expertise and knowledge.I will recommend this company to all my neighbors.

Great customer service

I have just purchased a new house and have no batteries in my new remotes. I went to Lincoln door and they not only placed batteries in my remotes for free but they showed me how to program the new remote. Very simple easy instructions. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I will be proud to recommend Lincoln to anyone of my friends or family.

company employee was rude smokes a cigar before he got to my house and stunk. was told 65.00 to 80.00 dollars for torsion spring and was told it would be 100.00 per spring because it was a wood door. jonathan told me wood or steel door doesnt matter. service guy never lubed door or operator while at my house. and they charged 6 percent cause i need to use a credit card. call someone else not these rip off people. they said we could do used springs and that would save me money. thats like buying a used tired for my truck!

Rude and Aggresive Employees

This review has nothing to do with their service but today I was driving on Thunderbird Rd. eastbound past 35th ave. to the I-17 and this white van that said Lincoln Garage Door was in a merge lane to the right which tried to speed to merge in. I was going faster so he had to go behind me. The driver of the van then sped to the side of me trying to get my attention and then swerved in front of me to cut me off. We then came to the intersection of T-Bird and I-17 and a guy with big earings and a shaved head got out of the company Lincoln van and called me a Mother F**ker and said he wanted to kick my ass. He threatened me and told me to "Come on" as if wanting to fight in the middle of the intersection. This was uncalled for especially if you are in a company van. It speaks very poorly of the business when an employee cannot contain himself and act like a civilized human being. I don't think I will ever use Lincoln's service and will tell everybody I know not to use them either.
