Minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) is a state-of-the-art surgery where microscopic instruments are used to facilitate small incision surgery. It is a safer option to reduce eye pressure than conventional surgery, with the added benefits of a higher success rate and quicker recovery time.

The macula is a small but important area at the center of the retina that allows us to see fine details clearly and perform activities, such as reading and driving.

Cataracts
The Light Adjustable Lens is the only adjustable intraocular lens (IOL) available that allows optimization of your vision after lens implantation and healing. If you and your doctor select the Light Adjustable Lens, the first step is to have your cataract safely removed and the adjustable IOL implanted. The cataract removal and IOL implantation procedure is the same as if you selected a non-adjustable IOL.
Cataract Surgery
During cataract surgery, part of the anterior (front) capsule that holds the lens is removed. The posterior (clear back) capsule remains intact. If that capsule stays clear, the patient will have good vision.
Eye Exam
Before the laser procedure, your doctor does a thorough eye examination to make sure there is no other reason for vision loss. YAG Laser is painless and only takes five minutes. Eye pressure may be taken after the operation to make sure it is not elevated.

Accumulation of fluid in the central area of the retina, the macula, is described most commonly as cystoid macular edema. This occurs often in the setting of intraocular inflammation, diabetic retinopathy, and after intraocular surgery. The swelling or accumulation of fluid in the central area of vision leads to blurred vision that makes objects appear underwater.

Ultrasound
Similar to cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange is a vision correction surgery that uses the same ultrasound technology to remove the natural lens of the eye. A clear plastic implant, or intraocular lens (IOL), is placed behind the iris through a small incision in the cornea. This technique is used occasionally for extreme nearsightedness or farsightedness.
MRI
In many cases of uveitis, the underlying cause remains unknown. Sometimes your eye doctor is able to determine a cause such as an infection or underlying illness that requires specific types of treatment. A careful eye examination by an eye doctor is extremely important when symptoms occur. They may order blood or skin tests, or imaging tests such as x-rays or MRIâ€™s to help identify the cause.
