Fillings
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are porcelain facings that are custom-designed and fabricated to fit over the front of the teeth. They are then bonded into place. The process is similar to the way in which a fake fingernail is placed over the nail.
Crowns
Crowns are tooth-shaped “caps” that are placed over a tooth and cemented into place. They serve to strengthen damaged teeth by providing structural support, and also help to restore a tooth’s appearance, shape or alignment.
Bridges
There are several advantages to using an implant compared to other options for tooth replacement. First, an implant can replace a single tooth without negatively impacting the health of the neighboring teeth. This is because an implant looks and functions like a natural tooth. For example, compared to a tooth-supported fixed bridge (another option for the treatment of the loss of a single tooth), an implant does not require the nearby teeth to be ground down to provide support.

Root Canal Treatment
When my dentist retired, I wanted to find someone younger who would be familiar with the latest technology. I also wanted someone I could feel comfortable with who I could trust with my smile. Fortunately, I found Dr. Medianick. He was so gentle that I fell asleep during a root canal. I would recommend him to anybody!

Dentures
Full dentures are removable sets (or “plates”) of teeth that replace all the teeth in the jaw. Different kinds of full dentures are upper, lower or both.

Dental Implants
Second, an implant better preserves a tooth’s bone because it replaces the tooth’s root and integrates with the jawbone. This is in contrast to a bridge, in which some of the bone that surrounds the tooth can deteriorate over time.

Tooth extractions involve the removal of a tooth from its socket in the bone. A simple extraction is the removal of a visible tooth in the mouth. A surgical extraction is the removal of a tooth that may have broken off at the gum line, or a tooth that has not yet become visible in the mouth.

Dr. Tim Medianick and his family (one of ten children!) moved to Levittown, Pennsylvania from Ukraine when he was 13 years old. Prior to finding his calling as a dentist, Dr. Medianick picked up music as a child, learning to play both classical piano and alto saxophone. He graduated from Messiah College and received his dental degree from Temple University School of Dentistry, passing his clinical dental boards with an impressive 100%. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, as well as a member of the American Dental Association. In addition, Dr. Medianick is a graduate of the Hands-On-Training Institute in Dental Implantology and was awarded a prestigious fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, making him one of the few dentists certified to place implants. He and his wife Ann (a native of Berks County) are the proud parents of three children, and they devote much of their time to their roles at a local church. In addition, Dr. Medianick travels back to Ukraine to provide dental services for the less fortunate. He also enjoys road biking, exercise and travel.
