The City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department works to improve the physical, social and economic conditions of individuals. It supports self-reliance and enhances the quality of life for residents through community-based problem solving and neighborhood-oriented services, as well as public and private cooperation. The City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department operates through administrative services and community development divisions. Its neighborhood revitalization services feature code enforcement, blight abatement, infrastructure improvement, and housing rehabilitation and reconstruction. The department s preservation division resolves issues related to property maintenance, zoning and nonpermitted construction. In addition, the City of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department maintains a resource guide that includes information on the city government and its various departments, such as housing, public safety, transportation, and planning and zoning.
