Devine's A Salon

I do not normally write bad reviews but in this case I feel I have to. I read the reviews online because I was looking for a professional to cut my hair, I have had long for over 10 years and just went to cost cutters, most of the time they did a really good job. Anyway I saw that they had a spa package for $43 so I decided to go. The facial was very nice but then the haircut. I got someone who seemed completely intimidated by the pictures of the hair cut I wanted but Jennifer reassured me that she could do it, I tried to relax after all I was probably just nervous. It was going ok and then she asked if I wanted bangs, I assumed very long bangs like in the picture, she said at my cheekbone I said ok, like the picture. Snip - I had bangs angled towards my nose instead of away. The hair cut continued...I knew she did not have a clue as to what to do to fix her mistake... Jennifer took over very aggressively and in a hurry after all she had 3 people waiting for her services. I wish I would have commanded a stop and rescheduled a time to fix this problem. Jennifer finished, the original hairdresser left before I did. I left barely looking in the mirror. The next morning I had to cut about a 1/2 inch off the left side to even it out with the right so I could go out in public (I had mentioned the unevenness of the cut to both stylists, to no avail). The style is unbalanced, a friend offered to try to fix it. It is difficult to do and the bob looks like something from 1990 instead of the stylish haircut I brought in. I will not be going back, not even for the rest of the package already paid. What is worse and the main reason I am writing this is there was no apology just, "your bangs will grow out sweetie."

I chose Devine's because of the great reviews and want to thank the woman who wrote about her boyfriends experience. I'm a guy who decided to grow my hair a little longer and my wife liked it. Well, now I need a stylist -- not just another average franchise clipper. What a pleasant, productive experience.

I called this morning for a same-day appointment and Linda happened to answer. She asked me what I needed before answering my request. Upon hearing my story, she said she would be available at 3:15 today. There is enough information about the "quaint" quarters and friendly/professional staff, which I found to be true.

Here's the deal, this salon knows how to make a guy feel welcome. And I loved the attention and wonderful service I received. Linda is great and I couldn't be happier with the results.

Give this place a try, men. We already know how much the women love it.

Devine's is a wonderful salon! This is my third winter in AZ and until I found this quaint and friendly salon I was not happy with finding a good stylist. Coming to AZ this year, I looked in the yellow pages and thought I would try a different salon with every haircut until I found one I liked. I got lucky with my first try. Jenny has cut my hair and given me the best short style I have had in a long time. I highly recommend her.
