Medical Weight Loss
A panniculectomy involves removing large amounts of excess skin and fat that hang down over the genitals and thighs, frequently following major weight loss. It does not tighten the abdominal muscles, but can alleviate back pain and skin rashes or ulcers.

General Surgery
After completing general surgery training, Dr. Taleisnik was selected to continue his training in plastic surgery at UCLA, one of the top three programs in the country. He received extensive experience in all facets of plastic surgery, including craniofacial, pediatric, microsurgery, oncologic, hand and aesthetic (cosmetic) surgery. He had the opportunity to learn from some of the top plastic surgeons in the world, including those that are the “Plastic Surgeons to the Stars” of Hollywood and Beverly Hills.
Hand Surgery
Dr. Andres Taleisnik was born in Rochester, Minnesota in 1962, where his father, Julio Taleisnik, completed his orthopedic residency. Julio went on to become one of the leading hand surgeons in the world, and has been in practice in Orange County for over 40 years. Dr. Andres, as he is known in the office, joined his father’s group in September 1997 after completing rigorous and extensive training in plastic surgery and hand surgery.
Vascular Surgery
Dr. Taleisnik then completed six years of training in surgery at UCLA, including general and vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, chest surgery, trauma surgery, cancer surgery and plastic surgery. He completed a year as Chief Resident in 1993-1994. During his surgery residency, Dr. Taleisnik performed research in the plastic surgery laboratory of Dr. William Shaw, and received the Plastic Surgery Educational Foundation Research Fellowship award, one of four $30,000 grants awarded nationally each year. He also spent time assisting in the reconstructive surgeries for burned children at Shriner’s Hospital in Los Angeles.
Reconstructive Surgery
What makes Dr. Taleisnik unique is his attention to his patients’ care. From pre-op to post-op, his goal is to educate, advise, and perform so that you get the best, most natural-looking results from your surgery. Plastic Surgeons

Botox
Botox is an injectable medication used to decrease facial wrinkles and smooth the skin. Many wrinkles, especially those around the eyes, in the forehead, or frown lines, are caused by muscle contraction. Botox weakens the muscles, resulting in diminished wrinkles. Botox injections are usually repeated 2-3 times per year to maintain the desired effect.
Eyelid Surgery
Eyelid surgery may be uncomfortable, but is rarely painful. Most patients are active at home within days of surgery, and are able to resume almost all activities within 1-2 weeks. Visible sutures are typically removed 5-7 days after surgery.
Liposuction
A surgical procedure designed to remove excess fat and flatten bulges. It is most effective for treatment of localized fat deposits, to improve shape and body contour, rather than for treatment of generalized obesity. Even fit patients who exercise and control their diet may have stubborn accumulations of fat that remain no matter what they do. Liposuction removes fat and fat cells, sculpting the body in a way that exercise alone sometimes cannot. Liposuction can be an especially excellent and gratifying solution for treating abdominal fat, love handles or prominent hips, rolls of tissue in the back near the bra strap, bulges on the inner or outer thighs, or prominence below the buttocks crease on the back of the thighs (“banana roll”).

Breast Reduction
A breast reduction is a surgical procedure designed to decrease the size and weight of the breasts. This can often reduce neck or back pain, and bra strap grooving of the shoulders. A breast reduction can also restore better body proportions, make it easier to exercise, and eliminate persistent rashes beneath the breasts.
Breast Lift
Depending on the needs of each patient, different types of breast lifts are available. In general, more significant degrees of sagging and drooping require a mastopexy with more extensive scars, while minor breast lifts may involve smaller or fewer scars. The scars usually fade over time, becoming much less conspicuous. Dr. Taleisnik will help you to determine whether you might benefit from a breast lift, and which type would be optimal.
Plastic Surgery
After graduating from Princeton, Dr. Taleisnik returned to Southern California, where he attended medical school at UCLA. He was exposed to numerous innovative and nationally recognized plastic surgeons during medical school, such as Malcolm Lesavoy, Harvey Zarem and Timothy Miller. These outstanding surgeons and teachers prompted Dr. Taleisnik’s fascination with plastic surgery. He graduated from UCLA in 1988 with a 3.95 GPA, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He also was awarded the Victor Hall Scholarship as the top student in Physiology, and a merit scholarship for academic excellence.
Face Lift
A surgical procedure designed to smooth the loose skin on your face and neck, and to reduce the signs of aging in the facial area. Rhytidectomy procedures involve reducing the creases from the nose and mouth, the slacking jaw line and sagging jowls, and fat deposits around the neck by removing excess fat and tightening underlying muscles, then redraping the skin on the face and neck. Although the procedure cannot stop the aging process, it can turn back the clock on your facial appearance, giving you a younger, fresher look, which can also have a positive effect on your self-confidence. A facelift is a surgical procedure designed to tighten and smooth loose skin and tissues of the face and neck. Problems that are dramatically improved with a facelift include prominent jowls, a saggy and poorly defined jawline, sagging and folds in the cheeks, and especially drooping skin and vertical bands in the neck (“turkey gobbler deformity”). The scars for a facelift are usually very well hidden, and become inconspicuous in most patients with passage of time.
Blepharoplasty
This 52 year old female complained of thick, sagging upper eyelid skin that obscured the lids themselves. She was also unhappy with lower eyelid bags and bulging, seen on the side view. Upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lifts) improved her appearance.
Abdominoplasty
A full tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) tightens the skin and muscles above AND below the belly button. A greater degree of tightening and flattening is obtained compared with a mini tummy tuck. The pubic area is also tightened.
Breast Surgery
A Mommy Makeover usually includes a tummy tuck and some form of breast surgery, and other procedures may be included as well. Performing more than one surgery at a time is much less expensive than performing them separately. In addition, we are currently offering a $1,000 discount when liposuction is added to a Mommy Makeover (tummy tuck and breast surgery).
Scar Revision
Scars that are excessively wide, raised, red, or hard can often be improved by scar revision surgery. The unsatisfactory scar is excised (cut out), after which the skin is released, so that a precise closure can be performed in multiple layers to minimize tension on the wound. Usually, the resultant scar will be much more cosmetically acceptable than the original scar, although scar quality depends on the patient’s own healing characteristics as well.
Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation can be accomplished beautifully with Juvederm injections. With a short office procedure, Dr. Taleisnik can add fullness to the upper and lower lips in a very natural manner.
Body Contouring
Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is an enlargement of the male breasts. This condition is quite common and it affects as many as 40% of the male population. Gynecomastia may affect only one or both of the breasts. The majority of the cases have no known cause while the others might be related to the use of drugs or medical conditions. Gynecomastia can be caused by excessive glandular breast tissue, fat, or a combination of the two. For men who feel self-conscious about their over sized breasts, this procedure can help restore self-confidence and appearance.
Moles
Dr. Taleisnik removes moles either by shaving them and allowing the small wound to heal on its own, or excising the moles (cutting them out) and carefully suturing the wound. The scars are usually very inconspicuous.
