I love to stop here when I am in South Omaha! Great burritos, and I LOVE the fajitas!!! They even had coke in a bottle! I would give 5 stars if only the service was faster, but that is just because I am usually trying to make a deadline.

Provided by DexKnowsHard to find good authenic mexican in omaha. I then went to the el alamo. The mexican burger and taco salads were the bomb and the atmosphere and staff very friendly and very mexican. Very reasonable prices on food and drinks. The menu has a huge selection.

Provided by DexKnowsOur family has been going to el alamo for over 21 years. we used to be their biggest fans, they have the BEST salsa! however since it has gotten more popular it has become a little more americanized which has made us not go there that often anymore. its really a hit and miss going to el alamo, sometimes the dinner is amazing just like old times, and sometimes its HORRIBLE..runny beans, cold food ,etc. but the salsa always taste the same which is amazing!

No gimmicks, only fantastic authentic Mexican food served in a comfortable atmosphere. Prices are low, quality is always exceptional. Just thinking about it is making me hungry!

Provided by SuperpagesAdditional parking behind the restaurant. Welcoming of English speakers and Spanish speakers. A favorite hangout of lots of University of Nebraska at Omaha as well as Creighton University students and faculty. Great food, try the enchiladas, the tacos, the seafood (the diablo is super spicy!), the various salads, etc., etc. Everything on the menu is excellent. A great place for children. Full bar in the next room. Private party room too. Catholics come here after church, especially from Our Lady of Guadalupe across the alley. Waiter will teach you some Spanish if you want. The good food and family owner-provided service will keep you coming again and again and again! If you haven't been to El Alamo, you haven't experienced true Mexican food in Omaha.
