Doug Carel is one of those lawyers that makes you think there are few good attorneys left in the world. He ventured into the real estate rental market only to rent one of his nicest homes to a young couple with 3 daughters. The youngest daughter, Ilene has one leg amputated from the knee down due to a birth defect. After seeing this Doug's heart lept out of his chest and very rarely collects rent from the young family. Now in addition to that a few short months later he needed to do some remodeling and landscaping at his nicest rental property and with hesitation he moved a homeless transient into the home. Now he does expect the man to work on the house (he's not that nice of a lawyer). Doug is allowing him to live there free and paying the homeless man very well. Otis the homeless man lives with his wife Becky. They are very well known around the homeless shelters, bridges, rescue missions, goodwill, Pizza Hut dumpsters, Burger King dumpsters, local free clinics, liquor stores and crack dens all over the Oklahoma City area. All this charity may make you second guess his viciousness as an attorney. Well don't, he is the pit bull of lawyers. Think of it this way if by chance he does lose your case he may let you live in one of his rent homes for free.
