General Info
Since 1987, I have owned and operated A Better Truck Cap and Hitch. With customer service as our main focus, we have grown to three locations. Formerly known as Village Car Company and Village Hitch we have been in business for 29 years. Switching from Used Cars and Detailing to the automotive aftermarket was a natural progression. We look forward to serving all our customers' automotive aftermarket needs.

Wonderful experience. Its not often I find a "Customer service representative" that ACTUALLY focuses on customer service. I spent a little over 3k with Toni, and will go back and spend again. When a problem arose, he addressed it - and it didn't end when the sale was over. He kept me informed through the whole process, They will definitely get my repeat business.

He smiles when he's selling, but, if there is a problem, he takes it personally, digs in and will fight you even when it's obvious the product was defective. He firmly believes he's always right, that he's earned every penny you paid him, it's your fault the cap leaks, or the light won't go out, or the car won't start. I bet he's livid at this review, which, proves my point. I honestly tried to resolve this peacefully, you've been warned.

Terrible customer service

I bought a bed cover for my truck. When it broke, the owner said he wouldn't help me get it fixed under warrenty, b/c I probably wasn't using it right.

He also tried to charge me twice as much for a remote starter b/c it included an unnecessary part. Even when I told him that my model of truck did not require the part he refused to install it that way. He stated that he had 25 years of experience and I didn't know what I wad talking about. Best Buy put it in for over half the cost and it works great.

i bought a touneu cover, bug sheild, bed liner and vent guards for my new silveraldo, was very pleased with the service, and as for instalation,i was out of there in no time. when i get the money im going back to get step bars.

I was given a remote start gift certificate for Christmas. Unfortunately, my mom bought it from Truck Cap A-Better Hitch, which has locations all 45 minutes away or more. So, I set up an appointment--the earliest they had available was a week and a half away. I clear my schedule for that entire day, since the installation allegedly takes 4 hours, and I must account for the hour and a half round-trip drive. When I arrive, the receptionist asks for my keys--both sets. I explain that I didn't bring the other key, which is at home--45 minutes away--because they never informed me that I needed to bring it. She just stands there and looks at me dumbly, offering no solutions or accommodations even though it is their fault for the situation. I advised my mom to get a refund so that we can take our business elsewhere. The whole ordeal was extremely frustrating and a waste of money for the gas it took to take the worthless drive there and back. This business deserves less than one star.
