Dino's Eastside Grille

When Dino's first opened I was hoping Lincoln would finally have a great Italian restaurant. Nope. A bar that's too much of a restaurant, and a restaurant that's mainly just glorified bar food. Since the focus is mainly food, it's not really a good place to go just for drinks. The family atmostphere really sucks the life out of having a good time. I had the spaghetti and meatballs my first time there, and it wasn't bad for canned sauce and frozen meatballs. My wife and I shared two different pizzas the last time we went, and they were excellent, but a bit pricey. I guess we're paying for the atmosphere. Service was excellent too, with our orders mostly correct, and immediate attention to a couple of minor errors. I notice they're looking for an executive chef. They need someone who can convince them to do it right. Make in house Italian with fresh ingredients. Do that, and all of Lincoln's east side will be yours. They do a booming business now since that side of town is a kind of food desert. But bring up the level of the food, and it could be wonderful. Come on Dino's, show us what you got!
