General Info: Koprowski Veterinary opened its doors in the Lapeer Community in 1978. Founded by Dr. James Koprowski, the goal was to provide personal and quality care to the pets and their owners of the surrounding area. In 1991, the practice moved to its current location at 525 S. Elba Rd. The Big Blue Barn. In 1992, Dr. John Collins joined the practice team, and in 2009 became owner. We continue to strive to meet those same goals the practice was founded on-Compassionate, caring medicine for the pets in our community and beyond. The practice is staffed 5-6 days a week by Dr. Collins, 6 technicians/veterinary assistants and 5 receptionists, to provide comprehensive care including wellness visits, surgery, emergency/critical care and dental needs as well as preventative care (vaccinations, parasite prevention & control).
