The Jackson Fire Department s protective services include the inspection of commercial, industrial and residential buildings, as well as the enforcement of applicable codes. The department also provides fire suppression and rescue training for volunteers. It additionally offers automatic and mutual aid response to areas outside the city through a partnership with the Amador County Fire Protection District (AFPD).
