Unfortunately, 1 star is far too high a rating for these "medical professionals."

I've seen veterinary clinics run better. Don't go here. These people are seriously complete idiots. They cannot do the simplest of tasks. They have an outrageously long outgoing message when you call, but just because your getting the outgoing message doesn't mean that you are going to talk to anyone. I've been hung up on. But it gets worse, there are times when THEY DON'T EVEN ANSWER their phone.

I had an ear infection. At first she prescribed Tylenol 3 for pain, which is useless to me, but I took it. The next day, I had not slept, and was in so much pain it felt like my head was going to explode. I called in, not really feeling well, asking for my doctor to call in a pain med to a local Walgreens.

SO far, so good, right? WRONG.

Walgreens calls me back to confirm three prescriptions that I had not requested be sent to Walgreens, and on top of that, they HAD NO PRESCRIPTION FOR PAIN medication for me.

Then I tell Walgreens I will get back to them, but I have to call my "doctor's" office to straighten all this out.

Now I call Lakewood in the MIDDLE OF THE DAY, and I get their answering service. Of course, I don't know I'm talking to their answering service until I've explained the whole thing. Next, she transfers my call to the Lakewood office. They never answered. Instead, their obnoxious automated call system hung up on me.

By this time, I was livid. Like the covered wagons of the old west, I had to get this done the old fashioned way. They don't take phone calls, and apparently don't understand common English. I don't have time to write them a letter, because unfortunately, the USPS is only slightly faster than Lakewood.

So, I had to drive over there. I walked in, and there sits her giggly, incompetent, unprofessional staff (the ones who can't be bothered to answer a phone).

I tell them, "I need to speak to someone in charge, a doctor, a manager, an owner, but I do NOT want to speak to any of you."

Finally, one of the professional staff saw me, got the pain meds sent to the correct pharmacy, and I was able to get a little bit of relief. However, I had to drive my car over long distances to get it because they can't be bothered to either answer their phone or get the prescriptions straight.

Now I would understand if something like this had only happened one time. Everyone is entitlted to a bad day.

This isn't the first time they have totally screwed up something very important, like reading the wrong chart to me over the phone, not accurately keeping track of my history with them, among other things.

Apparently Lakewood is entitled to a bad day every day.

Sure, you can go there. And, you may even be treated decently by accident. But, it's only a matter of time, after you've spent months with them, you will be getting away from them.

Think about it this way, how long would YOU last at a job that you wouldn't or couldn't do?

I thought so.
