Upper gastrointestinal (UGI) endoscopyÂ (also known as Esophago, Gastro, DuodenoscopyÂ or EGD) Â is a short procedure (approximately 30 minutes in duration) that an endoscopy specialist performs while a patient is under anesthesia in an outpatient setting. During the EGD procedure, a thin, flexible, fiber optic EGD scope with a camera is inserted via the patientâ€™s throat to examine the inner lining of the throat, food pipe ( Esophagus), stomach ( Gastric) Â and the upper small intestine ( Duodenum ) and obtain tissue samples ( biopsy).

Liposuction is a technique whereby the fat in certain areas is removed without compromising the blood supply to the overlying skin. The fat that is removed can be used to augment other areas like the breasts and buttocks (â€œBrazilian butt liftâ€ ) or to fill in creases using fat transfer techniques. Back, thigh or abdominal liposuction is able to achieve the best results for patients who have good muscle tone, whose skin retains its elasticity, whose weight is stable. Abdominoplasty
An abdominoplasty typically involves two steps. During the first step, the cosmetic surgeon removes the excess and overhanging skin from the lower abdomen in a procedure referred to as a panniculectomy. In some instances, a vertical incision may be needed to address upper abdominal skin laxity and to help create a narrower waistline. This is called aÂ fleur-de-lis abdominoplasty.Â
Body Lift
The procedure is typically performed as an out-patient surgery. While there may be some pain for the first two or three days following surgery, most patients can go out in public within a week and return to normal physical activity in about six weeks after surgery. You can expect a permanent scar, but it tends to fade with time and reaches its final appearance a year or 18 months after surgery. The scar will be largely unnoticeable, as it can be hidden by clothing and swimsuits. Results of a full lower body lift can be observed almost immediately and improves over the following weeks to monthsÂ as swelling subsides.
