Modeled after the classic wheat beers of Bavaria, Hefeweizen is cloudy and straw-colored with a meringue-like head that lingers to the bottom of the glass. Brewed with an ample volume of wheat malt and few hops, this beer features a unique yeast strain that produces harmonious notes of clove, banana, and vanilla throughout this effervescent brew. A traditional interpretation of a classic style, this idiosyncratic Bavarian beer is perfectly at home here in Texas. OG: 12.9ºP; ABV: 5.3% IBU: 10
Live Oak, Pilz
Styled after the Bohemian classic, Pilz is a golden lager with a moderate hop bitterness and soft malt flavor. We employ an intensive decoction mash that contributes to the beer's full body and rich color. Cold fermentation and lengthy secondary conditioning produce a brilliant beer that highlights the flavor of the spicy Saaz hops. Perfection in a glass, Pilz is a simple beer done well. OG: 11.9ºP; ABV: 4.7%; IBU: 30
Live Oak, Big Bark Amber Lager
The clean, dry lagers of Vienna provide inspiration for our Big Bark Amber Lager. European malted barley lends it a soft body with a depth of malty richness and aroma. Small additions of noble hops gently balance characteristics of the malt. Cold fermentation and conditioning assure a beer with a clean finish, showcasing the interplay of the malt and hops. A beer of fine malt character and subtle hop nuance, it is accessible, smooth, and satisfying. OG: 12.4ºP; ABV: 4.9%; IBU: 25
Inspired by the strong dark lagers of Germany, Live Oak Liberator Doppelbock is brewed for the last days of winter. Liberator pours deep brown, almost black with layer upon layer of rich malt flavor. The hops are present to gently support and balance the expressive malt character. While the beer sleeps the winter away in a conditioning tank, our lager yeast continues to work to assure a very clean and dry finish. OG: 18ºP; ABV: 7.8%; IBU: 26
Live Oak, Schwarzbier
Dark but with minimal roast character, Schwarzbier plays clean malt flavors off the flowery, spicy notes of noble hops. This black lager reveals deep ruby undertones when held to the light. Not a heavy beer, cold fermentation and conditioning with lager yeast assures instead a beer with a clean, dry finish. This is a dark beer for the Pilz drinker. OG: 12.1ºP; ABV: 4.8%; IBU: 30
Live Oak, Dunkelweizen
Dunkelweizen is a South German-Style wheat ale akin to both Hefeweizen and Primus. Similar to its siblings, Dunkelweizen shares the wonderful clove, vanilla, and banana aromas produced by this Bavarian yeast strain. The small noble hops addition adds just enough bitterness to balance the malt flavors. With notes of darker malt, this addition to the weizenbier family remains effervescent and refreshing. OG: 12.9ºP; ABV: 5.3%; IBU: 12

Live Oak, Slertion
Our Liberation IPA is unique among our beers in that its inspiration is drawn from the Pacific Northwest rather than Central Europe. Generously infused with Columbus and Cascade hops, this ale balances firm bitterness with a solid malt body and massive hop flavor and aroma. Warm fermentation with ale yeast contributes subtle fruity flavors and a satisfying dryness. Another addition of hops at the end of fermentation imparts more citrus aroma reminiscent of Texas Ruby Red grapefruit. Enjoy this classically styled American IPA. OG: 15.2ºP; ABV: 6.0%; IBU: 50

Live Oak, Roggenbier, Rye Beer
Roggenbier means rye beer. Designed to highlight rye malt's unique contribution to brewing, this beer features a cloudy appearance and a refreshing tartness. The beer is lightly hopped, and fermented with special German ale yeast that after cold conditioning yields a restrained fruitiness that compliments the spice of the rye. Roggenbier is crisp, complex and deliciously refreshing. OG: 12.2ºP; ABV: 4.7%; IBU: 12
Live Oak, Berliner Weisse
Berliner Weisse is a special beer that undergoes bacterial fermentation to naturally produce lactic acid which contributes a delicious, lemony tartness. This traditional wheat ale, made famous in the nineteenth century in the city of Berlin, features a bready malt character, low bitterness, and effervescent carbonation. Clean, tart, and quenching, this beer is available in limited quantities to be enjoyed. OG: 9ºP; ABV: 3.2%; IBU: 6
Live Oak, Weisser Rauch
Weisser Rauch, or White Smoke, is a marriage of a traditional German Hefeweizen and a Rauchbier. The smoke is more restrained than in some of our other offerings in order to allow the weizen yeast character to come forward. The smokiness plays on the spicy phenols and the fruity esters to both increase complexity and to fully integrate itself with the beer's more familiar flavors. This beer is for the connoisseur and the smoke beer novice alike. OG: 12.9ºP; ABV: 5.3%; IBU: 10
Live Oak, Lichtenhainer
Lichtenhainer is a German beer style that vanished in the 1980s. Similar in strength and tartness to Berliner Weisse, this beer adds an element of smoked malt, contributing an intriguing aroma. Fermentation with yeast and bacteria creates a phenolic profile that is unique. The low bitterness and high level of carbonation allows for full enjoyment of the subtle acid and smoke flavors. Please enjoy this historical re-creation. OG: 9ºP; ABV: 3.2%; IBU: 6
Live Oak, Grodziskie
Grodziskie is a resurrection of the last indigenous Polish beer style to go extinct in the twentieth century. Production ceased in Poland in the 1990s. It is brewed using only wheat malt smoked with oak, the aroma of which is both intense and distinct from the beechwood smoked malt we use in our other rauchbiers. The low gravity of this beer allows the hop bitterness to clearly shine through. The proper Polish yeast strain contributes an important quality we think of as authenticity. Please enjoy this truly rare beer. OG: 8ºP; ABV: 3.0%; IBU: 20
Live Oak, Pale Ale
Our Pale Ale is a golden ray of hoppy sunshine. Imbued with bright flavors of tropical fruit and citrus, this ale is brewed pale and dry with a few of our favorite hipster hops. Built for an IPA drinker, it features moderate bitterness, but decidedly immoderate hop flavor and aroma. This is achieved with ample hopping in both the kettle and the fermenter. We find huge hops and a lower ABV to be a tremendously appealing combination. We imagine you'll agree. OG: 12.5ºP; ABV: 5.0%; IBU: 40
Live Oak, HopfenWeisse
HopfenWeisse happily incorporates our favorite aspects of Weissbier with the fruity aromas distinctive to American hops. Brewed in much the same manner as our traditional Hefeweizen, this beer benefits from a sizeable late addition of hops that contributes a powerful floral, citrus aroma while maintaining a mild bitterness. This beer's spritzy carbonation better conveys the fruity medley of aromas. Please enjoy HopfenWeisse fresh! OG: 9.5ºP; ABV: 3.6%; IBU: 18
Live Oak, Gold
Live Oak Gold is inspired by the pale lager that is the daily drinking beer of the Bavarian people. This is a crisp, bright lager that showcases soft malt flavors and is spiced with fine noble hops of the Hallertau region. Slow, cold fermentation and lengthy secondary conditioning produce a beer that is brilliant and beautiful. Please enjoy this beautiful artifact of a culture that places enjoyment of this fine lager bier at the center of polite society. OG: 10.4ºP; ABV: 4.1%; IBU: 20
Live Oak, Helles Rauchlager
Helles Rauchlager is a pale, smoky, bitter beer. Using malt smoked the traditional way during the kilning process, we employ a decoction mash to develop body and malt character. Generous amounts of beechwood smoked malted barley contribute an aggressive smokiness punctuated by a clean and assertive noble hop character. Fermentation with lager yeast leaves the beer dry but rounded and full. The interplay of the elements create a very refreshing and special harmony. OG: 10.8ºP; ABV: 4.4%; IBU: 20
Live Oak, Oaktoberfest
Our fall classic, Oaktoberfest is carefully brewed in observation of Bavarian style and tradition. Emphasizing rich flavor produced by the finest German malts, Oaktoberfest balances malty fullness with the subtle clean bitterness of noble hops. After fermentation with Bavarian lager yeast, we store the beer in our conditioning tanks to allow time to round out the rich maltiness and to develop a smooth finish. O'zapft Is! OG: 14.7ºP; ABV: 5.8%; IBU: 20
Live Oak, Smoaktoberfest
Smoaktoberfest is a smoked version of our fall classic, Oaktoberfest. Using traditional beechwood smoked barley malt, this lager is cloaked in a pleasant balance of smoke, malt and hops. Noble hops offer a faint bitterness enveloped in the flavor of smoked malt. After fermentation with proper Bavarian lager yeast, we condition the beer to allow time to round out the malt character and to develop a clean, smoky finish. O'zapft Is! OG: 14.7ºP; ABV: 5.8%; IBU: 20
Live Oak, Primus Weizenbock
Dark and cloudy, Primus Weizenbock marries the rich, malty flavors of bock beer with the fruity and spicy flavors of weizenbier. Brewed with significant contribution of wheat malt, Primus features a subtle warming alcohol character. Dark roasted malts impart notes of chocolate, caramel, and toffee in concert with flavors and aromas of clove, banana, and vanilla contributed by the Bavarian yeast strain. Primus is a rich, complex beer perfect to enjoy on a winter night. OG: 18.0ºP; ABV: 8.0%; IBU: 10
Live Oak, Schwarzer Rauch
Schwarzer Rauch, or Black Smoke, is a smoked black lager. Dark but with little roast character, this beer prominently features a beechwood smoked malt flavor. This smokiness mingles with layers of darker malt flavors and is braced with a noble hop character. Fermented cold and clean with our lager yeast, this beer highlights the complexity that smoke adds to traditional dark lagers. OG: 12.1ºP; ABV: 4.8%; IBU: 30
