Bark Busters Home Dog Training

After one visit from Michelle we saw a huge improvement in our 2yr old 73lb boxer mix, Wally. She showed us that we have to be the pack leaders in our home and out. Wally now looks to us for direction instead of leading the way. After one session, we had already seen an improvement in our walks, and in his attentiveness to us. Wally is no longer dragging me through our apartment complex, and no longer rushing people at the door!

I look forward to the day that Wally is able to walk on an "invisible leash" and I feel confident that we will reach that goal someday, with Bark Busters' training and our own diligence and determination.

Bark Busters Works!! Having had multiple pets for all of

our adult lives, when we adopted a ten month old Rhodesian

Ridgeback mix to join our family we thought we were

prepared. However, after she jumped over the back of the

couch, ignored commands outside and wanted to be

rambunctious play pals with our senior miniature dachshund

we knew we needed help immediately. After Bark Busters

training, the difference is like night and day. Following

our initial visit with James, we felt much more confident

and optimistic with a plan in place. After training

ourselves to be pack leaders, we are definitely better pet

owners and our dogs are much happier knowing their place

in the pack. Our 50lb Rhodesian Ridgeback mix walks

better on a leash than our 13 year old 13lb miniature

dachschund. She doesn't pull, walks along at our side and

follows our lead. It is an awesome feeling knowing

the walks will be enjoyable for everyone. As long as you

follow the training and instructions provided, you start

to see a difference within the first few weeks. Now that

we have our rules and training in place, a simple "BAH"

now and then works like a charm and life is great in our

multiple animal household. We highly recommend Bark

Busters to anyone that needs help with any type of

behavior issue or just needs some basic obedience training.

We used james and Michelle to help us with our 3 month old puppy and they were amazing! Apollo went from a confused overly hyper little puppy to a well balanced one who knows his role in our family! He is happy and so are we :). It's amazing how many comments we get from strangers and friends alike about how well behaved and mellow he is. Bark Busters Charleston are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! We contacted Bark Busters because our youngest pack member was showing aggressive behavior. This was something we had been dealing with since adopting him as a ten-month-old pup almost three years ago. He only showed aggressive behavior towards other dogs (except his sister) and strangers. This was something we thought he would grow out of, we read books on how to deal with his behavior, tried training him ourselves, nothing worked. We were so embarrassed whenever he growled at anyone and lunged at people and animals! Knowing we would never give up on our furry family members, we had to do something. We researched for only the best and found Bark Busters.



After the first training session with James, there was an immediate positive change. We were consistent on our homework until the next training session two weeks later. After our second session, we were able to have James freely in our house and yard without our youngest pack member muzzled!



We are so grateful for the knowledge, and support from Bark Busters, without them, we would not have the confidence or education on how to fix “us” in order to guide our pack. We highly recommend Bark Busters Charleston!

We used Bark Busters to help train our two treeing walker coon hounds.Michelle was fabulous. She helped with separation anxiety, crate training and basic training. Our dogs no longer shake/move/chew their crates. They no longer jump all over us when we walk in the door (still working on new people).They listen and respect us as their leaders now (because they so did not before!). Michelle was patient, kind and, most importantly, firm! Our dogs listened and respected her instantly which meant they were trainable! and Michelle gave us those tools. I had entered my “naughty” pup into a contest called Naughty to Nice around Christmas time on Bark Busters facebook page. After I had won, I was really excited but cautious. I had no reason to be! James really put all of his effort into making zoey be the best dog that she can be and me the best owner that I could be. He never once treated it any differently (that I can imagine) because I had won it, and I never felt like he was shortchanging me. You could really tell how dedicated he was to helping my puppy Zoey. In the first visit, he taught us how to be the leaders of the pack. I had read A LOT of dog advice books and my parents ( who live out of state) have always had extremely well trained dogs so I thought that I would have no problem. I learned that following the advice that you read is a lot different when applying it. James really SHOWED me what to do, and that made all the difference. I knew the basic principles, but he helped out when I got stuck and showed me first how to correctly teach zoey what I wanted her to do. She is walking so much better, and is getting to be such a more calm dog. Can’t say enough good things about bark busters, thanks !

Highly recommend Bark Busters! Very knowledgeable!! I have two Jack Russells who thought they were the bosses for far too long.
